take off the oil filter and cut it open.You will see much more if something is coming apart in there.I dont think you would find such a large piece without there being a lot of other smaller pieces.
UPDATE:
Well I cut the oil filter open and there was nothing inside except small pieces of cam chain tensioner shoe. After letting the oil filter drain on a clean piece of white paper for several hours a could see a slight shimmer of brass in the oil but this amount was no more then i ever saw while changing my oil. Learned a long time ago to always do oil changes into a percetly clean pan. Guess I'm gonna put this thing back together. Hope the gear drives arent too loud. thanks for all the replies.
