Ouestions about installing monkey bars on a Road glide
Already has the inner faring painted.

Yea the CVO already has a painted inner fairing. It really sets the bike off. He went ahead and had it done. I'll have him post some pixs when the jobs done. I believe with 10" apes the clutch and brake cables don't have to be changed. With 16's everything is getting changed and he's adding heated grips and chrome switch caps. Should be sweet once its all done.
Now he's trying to decide which mirrors to use. The stock CVO mirrors are to bulky for him.

Outer fairing removal, radio removal, clutch cable replacement (remove exhaust, drain and fill transmission), brake cable replacement (bleed brakes), remove old bars, Replace switches in the hand controls, run internal wires, pin all the connectors with the new hand controls or solder extensions on current ones, etc. Reassemble, etc.

Hey everyone thanks for sharing your knowledge about monkey bars, This is the bike this thread was made in reference to, like heavymetalthunder said, im in the market for mirrors. They feel great, and the bushings did get changed!

glad my bushing comment helped you chose to do it. trust me I have told a couple of my buddies to do it and they chose not to. and I was the one stuck replacing them when they went bad. love the look of the bars. the stock one suck.
