Does anyone know just what has been "improved", or another way to say it...what has broken down on the previous models? My ltd came with them in 2010, and I changed them out for some "chrome and rubber" heated grips to match some other chrome stuff I was installing. Sold the originals. But have not had any issues with them. Keep them around a "2", any more and they really get quite warm. Nice to have a warm inner hand, however you still have to have good gloves to keep the forward facing side of your fingers and back of your hand warm on really cold rides.

Default Heated grips

Mine work on my wild 1's. The only thing I didn't like was running the wire outside of the handle bar.
But it's not that bad it's the same side as the clutch and GPS, so it worked out ok I guess.

Default heated Grips suffer from poor design

I would stay away from the factory grips. See other posts on this forum for my picture and comments of others. The outer part of my right side grip slides off and the internal connector comes out. Also when you try to put the sleeve back on the wires and tape all come apart and cannot be fixed.

Does anyone know what to do with the accessory power OW wire when installing harley's heated grips on a limited that has the stock heated grips? Stock setup doesn't have this wire coming from the grips. I figured I'd just ry it without it and see. If it doesn't work I'll tough it to the hot side to see if that does it. Just don't want to create a smoke show..
