"I'm thinking after all the replies he went back to investigate, discovered that it was installed incorrectly and is embarrassed to post pix/eat crow."
I'm betting my allowance on your suggestion, if you're wrong I won't
have any lunch money this week
We've all gone off half cocked only to feel foolish for it, calling him names and ridiculing in turn adds to the mistake. I'm sure he figured out he should have gone thru the troubleshooting before venting....how about we move on.
What the he** is wrong with everyone? Here is a forum member, purchasing a forum sponsors product, PISSED at the fact that it's a POS! Right away you jump to the sponsors defense? I would suggest that everyone take a DAMN GOOD HARD LOOK at past and previous posts refering to this specific product! Installed wrong? Shouldn't be working on his own bike? Doesn't know what he's doing? WTF?
I will agree that Brukus is a reputable company. When it comes to customer service they are the real deal. Contact Brukus, remove the kickshoe, send it back and get a refund. As far as posting product reviews and experiences with mods, keep posting away my friend! Screw the few who don't know any better!
Installed on my NON-lowered 2006 Ultra. On mild left-hand turns it drags the pavement. Consequently it put a nice gouge in my chrome primary cover. I wrote to Brukus. One would have thought that this bad flaw might have been discovered during design.
I have never even taken a turn that dragged the floorboards. Now in a turn so mild that I wondered what had happened I just knew then that the KickShoe was responsible. This is not a good product from one of our sponsors.
Anybody who wants it can have it for the cost of mailing. It is a piece of crap in that it could eventually penetrate the primary. I took it off after this one experience. First ride with it on--Bingo! A deep scratch in the chrome.

This is why he's pissed....and a refund will not pay for the damage.
That being said, I don't know if it was installed impropperly or not. Just that he's pissed because of the scratch.
First of all it would be nearly impossible to install the shoe incorrectly. Secondly, the shoe for 2006 and earlier models is different in some way from the 2007 and up. I do not know if this makes a difference. Thirdly, I appreciate that Brukus will refund my money but the fact that the shoe could have actually put a hole in my primary cover is what concerns me most, not just for me but for others as well. As it is now, I only have a substantial scratch through the chrome. I may not be an expert mechanic but sliding the shoe onto the kickstand and tightening two bolts is not brain surgery. It simply cannot be put on wrong.
From all accounts Brukus is an honest company and stands by its products. I removed the shoe immediately after finding the damage so therefore no photos. My intent posting here was to alert people about the problem.

I wonder if you have the wrong one for your year bike. After reading this I went out to the garage to check out my bike as I have the shoe also and have ground it down in corners a few times.
The shoe I have doesn't contact the primary cover anywhere and except for the grind marks on the shoe there is no other marks anywhere on the
bike.
The OP posted cuz he was pissed and felt like he should warn others of his problem.
Should he have called/emailed said vendor first, probably so
But I got to wonder if someone else had posted of this problem, and then the OP said
he had the same problem, how many would bash him for not saying anything......LOL
Major props for said vendor stepping up
