I wouldn't touch ABS bags with a ten foot pole to be honest.. I don't know what HD has in their bags to keep them from sagging but neither Faring factory or Vtwin are using it. I can't imagine any of the other made china shi* are either.

I attribute my experience to my first door ding in a new truck. It sucks *** to begin with but I'll eventually get over it.. I just want to put the warning out to others to not put yourselves through the same PITA..

ON a side note.. It appears even HD doesn't offer a set of bag lowers with Brilliant Silver Pearl. Thankfully or my credit card would have been bleeding tonight. Only Brilliant Silver. WTF is up with that? Sell a bike with no matching colors?

Are there any brilliant minded fabricators out there that can think of a bracket of some sort to force the back side into shape?? Small piece of L bracket that is held in place by the two mounting holes? I'd imagine using only bruckus screws or bolts and not the Dzus stock mounting hardware would be enough to hold whatever is strong enough to hold the back into place would work.. I can think of alot of things to spend another grand on than different lowers which do "look" awesome...

if you search forum lots of people complaining about ABS aftermarket bags, I and read all the horror stories about them, So I decided to go the old school route and buy fiber glass Top Shop bags, My biggest selling point was that they can be repaired, unlike the plastic ones that are limited. But on the flip side. People that own them are not going to come on a forum and praise them on a regular basis

You dont need a fabricator. You need to go down to LOWES. Go to the tool department and look at the different types of clamps and such they offer. Let it sit for a bit then install a bracket maybe. something like this might work to spread it open

LMAO Dave I know what that is! I meant more of a bracket to mount inside the bags 0=========0 with the two holes being the mounting holes. That would eliminate the bow in the back..

ON that note.. Today, 2 days after mounting they're latching and closing like they're supposed to. Whether that holds for the duration time will tell I guess. Until then I'm content. Like you said i'm the only one that will notice. My wife will hear me bitching if it changes

She has a RK Classic that she wants to put hard bags on. When her old bike sells we're riding to Mitchell and checking out Top Shop. Want to see what shapes look best on hers. I'm thinking 3" old school stretch.

I personally would not start drilling holes for support. I would first look into get some lexan and try to reinforced the sides that are having issue. I would get some epoxy and try to sure up bad sides

How are the bags holding up? Are they still bowing or are they closing correctly now. I am eyeballing the same bags on ebay from Eastern.
