Default 2011 Street Glide 96"

I am looking for advice on slip on mufflers, i am looking to do just mufflers on my bike maybe rinehart 4" slip ons or maybe screaming eagle slip ons. I really dont want to change my air cleaner or add a programmer right now.(trouble with my last bike ) I am looking for a better, more harley sound than the stock mufflers are giving me. My plan is to go look at some dealers this weekend and see if i can find some bikes so i can hear for myself. I did search but didnt realy find the info i was looking for. Thanks Kevin

It really depends on what sound you are looking for, I run Vance & Hines Twin Slash Monster Rounds and love the low deep rumble they have, my buddy runs a set of Rinehart 4in part#500-0102 Chrome Rounds, they also have that low rumble and both will get loud when the throttle is twisted! Had a set of Screamin' EagleŽ Street Performance Slip-On Mufflers - Chrome part#80721-09 they were ok, just didn't have the low rumble to them.

You are on the right track, visit a local dealer when there are a lot of bikes there, listen to the pipes you think you like and go from there. Yes you can run the slip ons and not have to add a fuel management system.

Rinehart 4" are pretty sweet & wild pigs are another more economical option too...take a gander & good luck w/your search.

Remember, the SE slip-ons are manufactured by SuperTrapp.
This will allow you to change out the standard closed end-cap with an open end-cap (a little louder) and more (or less) baffle plates. So you can tune it to your own ears.
Go to the SuperTrapp web site for an excellent video.

FYI, After reading a bunch of threads in the forum, I think I'm going to be getting 4" Jackpot slash-up for my 2012 SG when the time comes. I have experience with FuelMoto on 2 bikes now and have had nothing but great experiences, plus it looks like they've developed a few different baffles (competition and tunable quiet) for them. Plus, as I add on more (Air cleaner, power vision), I feel confident I can go back to those guys and get more tunes and help as needed. Keeping it all in the family as it were. The videos seem to have the sound I'm looking for, as well as the look...

I put the Jackpot 4" Dyno Tuned slash up mufflers on my bike and I think that they are great, much better low rumble at idle and louder when you crank on the throttle but not too loud when cruising on the highway. I have to update my bike picture but it is way too cold right now for that.

Well i went to 2 local dealers and checked out some bike with just mufflers on them. Both dealers said good thing about Rush slip-ons, i heard a Road glide with them and it sounded real nice. Also saw a Street Glide with RCxhaust slp-ons and they sounded real good also. Gonna do some more research but both dealers said i would be good with them and no other stuff (air cleaner, computer). Both were not real fond of the rinehart (not as good quality as they used to be) and the screamin eagles they said dont have the deep sound , more so just a stock replacement.

+1 on that. I took it a step further with PCV and Fuelmoto's A/C. My previous bike was Fat Boy Lo with Thunderheaders and they were definitely loud but almost too much at a constant cruise over long distances. I am very happy with my current setup on my 2011 103 FLHX. It has a nice low rumble on cruise and it sounds great when opening it up.

I made a video of the difference between a stock 2011 103 FLHX, then just the Jackpot 4" slashups, and finally the complete package: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...ood-to-me.html
