No doubt on this. I have NO desire to go back to a FXST type bike. Now I would like to have an older bike to play with. I mean an OLD one. At least a shovel era bike but would prefer an old pan.....although I know NOTHING about them. Just cool to me.

I really think baggers are the new "choppers". You can only build so many 300mm rear tire bikes before you just play that out.

Congrats. I'm with everybody else. I don't know anyone that has regretted the move. Personally, I don't understand why people don't want to spend 3 or 4 more thousand for a SG right off the bat! I'll never go back. I might have a second for running around town, but the Glide will never be replaced!

Well to be honest with you when I bought my FXST in 06 I didnt even know about the FXST. I was recently divorced and wanted a loud and fast Harley....cheaper the better without stooping to a Sporty. FXST have there place, it just aint with me.....anymore I should say.

Im 33 now and the older I get I dont care about looking cool. I want function and comfort. The SG has all these plus I think they look cool as hell. Now the RG, its still growing on me.

I am running the long ride shield's stealth 10"... It might take a little getting used to, but i am 6'4" tall and it provides great wind protection.

For bars I have LA Chopper Prime Apes, 13", my hands are slightly over the fairing, but i wear gloves when I ride and have no problem with wind.. I road this scoot to Sturgis and back this past summer and it was all day long comfortable..

For me, the NightTrain was the bike I've always wanted, since it came out in 98.

But by the time I got one and had it a couple of years, I was doing more and more long-distance rides.
I didn't actually want to give it up but knew I couldn't afford both bikes, so the SG won out.

I miss my NT, but no way have I ever regretted or even doubted the choice. Once I saw the SG with all blacked-out drivetrain like a Dark Custom, there wasn't a second thought.

Now? Yea, no way would I give it up for a different bike. I'll probably get a second bike as a smaller, "no extras" runaround. But there will always be my SG in my garage.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes, simplicity is the most beautiful. I've gotten a LOT of compliments on my bike, and it's virtually stock.

I think that's what attracts most of us to Harley. It's the simplicity of the brand. I imagine there are a few out there that look at a bike they are thinking about buying and already envision what changes they're going to make before they ever decide to buy it. But I think most of us appreciate the simple lines and beauty of the stock bike at first. Only later deciding to personalize it.

If anybody could screw up a streetglide's clean simple lines it's me.

I like to call mine a Street Glide Ultra.

I like most harleys. You should see some of the crazy crap I see out here, I have a few friends who are in to the Urban Biker thing and they really pimp their bikes out. One of them says my bike is white boy pimp. LOL.

My zx10 is my second bike. I have always wanted an FXR and could see myself with a simple 124" twin cam powered FXR for fun.
