Default Cams ????

I have a basically stock 96" bike. I have added RC Components exhaust, removed cat from head pipe, and installed a SE intake. I don't know which way to go on cams. I know that the SE 255 are a OK choice, but they are EPA legal and may be loosing a little for that. The woods cams are nice, but the price is a little expensive. Ive also looked at the Andrews 54 cams. Really don't know which way to swing. Jamie at Fuel Moto has done the test between the SE and Woods. Does anyone have a fair dyno sheet between the Andrews vs Woods???

If you want to stay w/Andrews the cam designed for your 96 was the 48 H.
The 54 H is for the 103. The 48 is basically their response to the 255 and it is very much like it, but goes out further out on the top end, but that's about it. That was my second choice but the third choice is the one I have now, and it is awesome, and no regrets either..

Woods or TMAN, proven winners and its cheaper in the long run to get the right part then to settle.

If all your planning is a Stage 1 with mild cams the 255 is a pretty decent choice as far as price & a nice little performance bump. The 255s can be found cheap used as well. May not be the best choice I suppose but new take outsa can be found for $150 shipped to your door & you'll definitely get a nice power bump for a Stage 1 setup on a 96....
Lots of choices. Good luck!

Well after a good chat with Fuel Moto today, I have decided to go with the Woods TW-555 cams, still haven't decided on the tuner yet. The PC Vision is nice, and has some cool options, but I think the PCV would work for me also. Head work at Fuel Moto isn't priced bad either. Decisions, decisions..... Head work and Woods TW777's or Woods TW555. Both will work well for my application.....

You should also take a look at a Black Widow 47.
