Default fairing removal

Anyone know how to remove the inner fairing on a 2009 Ultra? Seems fairly simple but how do you get the ignition out?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Not to be a smartass, but do you have a service manual? It's a must have when working on the bike.

we need a sticky up above...

1.) get the service manual

2.) set the security system PIN

3.) all exhaust systems have their own sound, go to a bike event and see which one you like best

4.) Check your tire pressure

Sorry OP, these are the answers to 80% of the questions posted on the forums it seems.

Rocky you might want to search around a little on the forum. I think you will find that several have removed and installed inner farings. There has also been tons of discussions around switch removal and pitfalls.
To search for your subject from Google, try something like: hdforums.com "ignition" or maybe hdforums.com "inner faring" and see what you get.
And like Dawg and everyone else will tell you, if you are going to work on that bike, get the HD service manual. And get yourself some good tools.

Once you have been part of this forum for more than a day or so, and once you understand that on your 2nd post, calling people names is not a good idea and not a particularly good way to garner welcome, maybe you could learn to think before you post.

No one on this forum owes you an explanation to your accusatory question. So please, feel free to go elsewhere. Obviously your day's worth of experience here has given you all of the information you need to make a decision to stay....or go.

I think telling him he needs a service manual is a legit answer to his question, why would you work on your bike without one? Coming on here and accusing someone of being a part of the human anatomy is uncalled for though!.....

If you think we're a bunch of a##holes. Wait until you put the switch back in and realize that it wasn't lined up right.
