Great Job.
On the bike and on documenting the great work you did to it and sharing.
Do you have a total on what you were able to do this for?
Thanks for sharing the project!
I tried to keep it under $8,000. However by the time I did the Tru-dual headers, Wild Pig slip on's, Big sucker, PCIII, it was just under $9,000 & the title say's previously salvaged. I'm happy with it and I don't have a loan out for $20,000 to do it. Which the wife wouldn't let me do anyway

The forums over at ar15.com have a 1911 section, and fusion firearms would be a good place to buy your frame and slide. Then you could build from there.
I have loved watching this project come together. While silent most of the time, I just want to say: "Great Job!" I think it's drop dead gorgeous, and I only wish I had the talent, patience, and expertise to pull something like this off. Well done on all fronts, and I really appreciate you sharing it with all of us.

Thanks to all for all the praise. I'm finally getting comfortable with her. After touching so many nuts and bolts you're always listening and watching for strange noises or vibrations. So far so good.
Batman, just read your awesome post and build! Bike turned out great! Really enjoyed the thread and seeing the progress thanks for sharing!
May I suggest going back to the idea of a 18" SG front wheels and a 16" rear SG wheel. I think that would really make the bike "pop" and look even more killer. Also put a set of 12" SG rear shocks to drop her down a tad and a set of $15 ebay smoked turn sig covers...
Again bike looks great wish you were closer to me would love to see her in person and hire you to Denim out my SG
Wow... great thread, thx CSS for bumpin this up, missed it first time around, and damn glad I didn't have to follow it as it happened, would have killed me waiting for updates.. Well done Batman, I'm standing in my garage in the middle of an April winter fest here in Ontario enjoying a beer and cigar having a read praying for spring to return!! Wish I had half of your talent, bike looks Great! Well done!
