some trouble shooting help

Just installed PYO monkey bars, '08 SG, and found the cruise control doesn't engage. Light comes on (red) but won't set (green). Hoping that someone has had this happen and it's a quick easy fix (yeah, right). My first thought, and hope was that maybe it needs to be "re flashed" but dealer says no. The brakes or clutch would disengage the cruise, but the brake lights are not on and clutch is working fine. Any suggestions short of taking it all apart again?

check all your connections. Did you run the wires internally and have to extend the wires? Most likely it is a pin not pushed all the way into the housing.

Yes and yes, will check the pins. Thx Anyone else got any ideas?
