Default Confused

I have recently purchased a (what I thought) was an Ultra Classic. On my tag receipt it states that it is a FLHTC. It's my understanding that this is a classic. I have looked at my nephews bike (which is an Ultra) and it has everything on it that his does rear speakers, tourpak, adjustable lower vents, etc. What am I missing?

Sounds like an Ultra, you could have a dealer run your VIN and see if it is or someone upgraded a Classic. I would guess it's an issue with your DMV clerk. If it has the options you like what does it matter?

I believe the pinstripping is different, and the Ultra has the tank badges while the Classic has tank decals also.

Maybe 5 characters is the limit they have for model names.

Also the Ultra has lights in the tour pak. The Classic has none.

If it is a 2 tone color the paint scheme is different on the ultra and classic. The pinstripe layout is also different.
