Yes, Howard! These shocks are so good it is worth making adjustments to get them on. Use search for 'Ohlins' and you will find plenty of recent threads about fitting them, including using longer shocks on SGs.

Compression (-) means less oil goes through the needle valve and down the shaft to the two holes on the other side of the piston. This means that more oil is forces through the piston circuits and against the shim stacks giving more resistance.

On rebound the same oil flow but in a different direction and out the top needle seat. This means the more oil through the needle valve/shaft the slower the swingarm/wheel comes back up.

I hope this is clearer and what the + (-) means.

In this case with the + (-) switched around the key word is dampening. Lefty losey means that more oil is bypassing the piston and righty tighty means more oil is being forced through the piston.

I thought about denting my after market pipe too. Be warned! If you have after market pipes with removable baffles you will never get the baffles out if you dent the pipe. I found the best way is to put a 1/2" spacer between the rear mounting bracket and pipe. You will hardly notice the difference.

I did the racetech front end on mine a couple years ago (converted my 05 to gold valve emulators on both sides and full racetech internals throughout) and run the true-track to keep things together. I've had Harolds site in my favorite places for a couple years now planning on getting some ohlins at some point. How much do I need to be budgeting for a pair of 6's? I came off sportbikes and ride this big girl pretty aggressively so I was real happy to see them available for the FL's.

I plan on making this my next mod on my street glide. Think they will fit ok with my Vance and Hines RSD duals?
