Seems like my gas mileage has increased after cahnging from stock. I wasnt sure if this was normal or not without getting a remap of the fuel. Should I be concerned or is that normal after a pipe upgrade? Buddy of mine was saying he thinks its fine but might cause some knocking when it gets hot out.
If it's fuel injected you got no problems. It will run the same a/f ratio as originally programmed. You may have a bit more power and aren't twisting your wrist as much to get going and maintaining speed
Lean is hot. Hot is bad.
If all you did is change the mufflers, you are probably fine. It may be a combo of the lighter new mufflers, some better flow, and you may just be riding it a bit different now that it is louder.
just the slip-ons you might be alright but if you put on an intake you should really get a download. you should probably get the download anyways because you will do the intake eventually
at best ive got 51mpg on some trips two up with the wife.
