if there 6 ohm even better reason to get an amp and use 4 ohm,6 ohm has got to be hard to find and limited selection.

Default u havew gm delco radio or harmon kardon

pretty sure the gm delco radios are 6 OHM output the new haron kardon are 2 ohm output. not sure what year the switched to harmon kardon think it was 06. i had 4 ohm speakers on my 2003 that replaced the stock ones sounded great. the same speakers on my 2009 sound good but the harmon doesnt haveenoughh power to drive the 4 ohm speakers. i had hog tunes on it also and they dont sound much better. the system needs an amp the harmon crapdon just doesnt have the wattage required. which ever speaker i have tried, I get distorsion when volume gets much higher than half way up the scale

thanks for all the info guys, i am thinking of just buying the hogtune speakers for now and then getting the hogtunes amp later. bike should be going in next week for motor work, talked the wife into letting me do that, it'll be really hard to talk her into letting me do the whole sound system right now too.

the older glides are 8ohm newer are 2ohm you need to pull the fair off and make sure it says on the speaker. or ask somebody who has the same year.
