Default New guy needs help

Today I bought a 2007 FLHTCU - Ultra Classic - Only has 7,000 miles on it - the rear tire is about due to be replaced - I know tire questions are about as bad as an oil question - I have had good luck with Metzeler's in the past - Is this a good choice for Ultra? Should I stick with OEM size? I ride solo - I want wide whites so I'm going to replace front & back at the same time - thanks for any help - tom

I replaced the rear tire on my 06 Road King with a Metzler and I have been very pleased with it.

I like the Metzlers too, if it fits your riding style then go with it.

Welcome, If your not dead set on wide whites you may want to consider the Dunlop Elite 3's. I ran Avon's WW on my Y2K and really liked them.

Avons or Metzlers are my choice. I usually get Metzlers because they cost a little less and my indie always has the Metzlers in stock. Metzlers handle great, Avons even better.

In my opinion, Dunlops suck.

I just replaced both tires on an 05 FLHRSi that I bought and went with Dunlop E3's. Was going to go with Metzlers until I read and heard that they don't handle worth a **** in cold weather. That's just my 2 cents worth....
