I've been following a couple of threads on exhaust systems and tuners and finally made the decision to get the MGS Cross Under Duals with a Power Vision Tuner. I was looking at the true dual system, but didn't like the routing close to the passenger footrest. The MGS cross under system is exactly what I wanted. The install went easily and the fit and finish was excellent. The sound is awesome. Aggressive on acceleration and quiet at cruising speed. In conjunction with the tune from the PV I noticed a significant difference in power and throttle response.
Thanks to all the folks on the thread your thoughts and comments were very helpful.

Why don't they have crossover duals on their website?
I bought a set of these true dual from a forum member here. Not sure why he got rid of them, they didn't have any heat marks on them. I love the way they go to the left side, rather than under the bike. Less heat on the right side. My bike was all ready dynoed with decatted stock pipes, but noticed very little difference when install them. Going to get retuned this summer.
If you have questions, I found the guys at MGS willing to talk as long as needed
I'm sure they've become accustomed to providing CS with the awful instructions they include in their True Duals kit. I love the exhaust but the instructions were garbage.
Ok... reviving an old thread but quick question on a Sunday night. The gaskets that were sent with my kit are cone shaped but the header pipes are squared off.... are these the wrong gaskets for my jugs? I am afraid if I try to install the head pipes that it will just crush the cone shaped gasket back in my cylinder... no? The stock gaskets that I picked out were cone shaped but the stock headers were also tapered and not squared off. Also with my kit I got the big sucker air filter and the Power Commander 5. The PC5 says there is no need to use my O2 sensors but a few installations that I have seen on the MGS true duals show people re-using the O2 sensors. The PC5 says no need but it will log a check engine in the computer but will not cause anything to come on on the bike as well as it does not effect how the bike runs. True? I have a 2013 Ultra Classic. Also.... anyone who has MGS installed on their dresser.... did you put the heat deflectors back on? Is there a need for them now that the heat is no longer on the right side?

My kit did not come with gaskets. I called MGS about this and was told that I had to ask for them when I ordered the kit. So I went for a trip to my local HD and got some stock gaskets. They have worked perfectly and I have no leaks. They will smush and fit to the flanges on the MGS pipes.
I have an 04 RK and I left my plastic deflectors on. I had to modify the left one with some tin-snips so it wouldn't touch the pipe. But I saw no reason to take them off. When it gets hotter here I might try taking them off to see if there's any difference.

Were there any part numbers to be found with these gaskets? Any way to identify how to grab them on my own? I reused my factory gaskets and they work well wit no leaks, but......The left header sticks out much further than I'd like. I bought a donut at NAPA. I think it was meant for an 80's S-10. Seemed thick enough to shift the header to where I want it. Haven't tried it yet, but maybe you have something better than I found. Gaskets are cheap enough I'd like to have them both present when I tear into it.

I put them back on and did a lot of cutting on the left. Why not? Unless you don't like the looks. Then I guess you can try with and without to see if you notice a difference.
