I did the same thing, I did the lifter blocks and part of the tubes too!
I reall like the white and black!
Is that the CVO brake light set up or custom?
Id be interested to see how the gloss black holds up on the heat shields too.

When I read your description about what you did, and saw the red bike, I thought.. "surely not!". But I have to admit it turned out pretty sweet!! Congrats.

I just seen your bike the other day. thought about doing that color. I didn't feel like messing with the lifter tubes. Yours looks good though

I asked my powder coater about the heat sheilds and he saaid he's not had any problems. I thought the same thing. 100 miles and look brand new so far...

What did you do about the rubber pieces in your floor boards/pegs? I am wanting to powder coat mine flat black but my powder coater said the rubber would most likely melt in the oven and I have not been able to find new rubber.

The floor boards are in 3 peices. Very bottom metal plate, metal plate, foot pad. They all come apart. very easy to do

The pegs are even easier. Take the end allen bolt out holding them on and pry the rubber out.

Cool I will keep this in mind........I traded my stock passenger pegs for a set of stock ultra passenger floor boards. I dont think this will work for my highway pegs though as i have a set of kuryakyn pegs up there.

Yeah, it'll work on youe stock ones. I know nothing about aftermarket ones. They have to come apart some how I'd assume
