I like it! Did you have your stock dash PC'd? I've heard the prep work on them (getting the chrome off) can be a b!tch due to how thin the metal is.
Very nice bike.
Yes the dash was de-chromed and it is fine. Here in the Emirates we are lucky, working man-hours do not cost much so it is fairly cheap to have plenty of parts de-chromed and then painted black. On my Dyna Street Bob, I had all my wheel spokes painted satin black and then the wheels re-laced, costed next to nothing...
i'm going to guess somewhere in the middle east . palm trees + the style of the building + in one shot you see the corner of another bikes license plate with what looks like an arabic character on it
nice looking bike . i also noticed it has no license plate at all . was it trailered to the photoshoot ?
Oh! no, I have never trailered a bike yet, will it be in the middle of a blizzard in Europe or in the middle of a burning sand storm in the Emirates desert. Got nothing against other people doing it, but it is not for me :-)
If you look closely at the pic with me standing behind the bike, you can see a little bit of the license plate nicely tucked under the top case. I relocated it there so when I am speeding the speed traps cant get a good shot at my plate....LOL
It looks like his plate is under the tour pak. Which makes me wonder why the extra mounting plate below the light. Oh well, we all need a littly mystery in our lives.
I use very strong double sided tape to hold the plate in place. I have kept, for the moment, the extra mounting plate below the light because sometimes I have to play stupid with the law, apologize to the nice officer for my recent error of mounting my plate under the top case where it is illegal and relocate it at its rightful place before he lets me ride off... Few miles down the road, my plate can go back under the tour pack, so I can speed without getting tickets.
You have to keep in mind that there are speed trap cameras every few hundreds yards in the Emirates...

Happiness is knowing your boundries.....I would leave some chrome....too much black is all black.....with all black theres nothing there to define the absence of color......the black looses itself without some chrome to highlite and offer some contrast and definition. JMHO
Blacking out my lighting was the largest challenge. Didn't want to see any orange, but wanted full brightness. Took some time and a LOT of experimenting.
