My tequila sunrise is not available local went in and finally got local to do 15% plus their chrome cash program so i ordered local
Might not be available where your at but I got it. You can take and add another 100 to the price and wait 5 weeks like I did to get the paint.
But you can get it
DuPont a PPG do not offer and either does HD so I bought through the local dealer will sell original so after discount only about 75 more than having painted another color
I bought a quart form harley thru my dealer and it was only $135. I'm gonna have a local spray it and when it's all said done I might have $300 at the most into it with paint and spraying. Definitely cheaper than ordering a painted fairing from Harley.
I checked with my local painter and he'll do it for 150.00 with me getting the paint....not bad, I'm going that route...he's the one that also does my trailer when I trade bikes....he just laughs when I tell him time to paint the trailer again......
As for worring about matching if ordered from HD, that has never been an issues, I'll be ordering my chopped box and fented lowers sometime and I'm sure they'll match.....
Thanks all, I'll post some pictures when the mods are completed....wish me luck!!
Had mine done Black Ice Pearl. Was scared of a local doing that paint. Got mine from Harley. VERY Happy with mine. It was shipped in a large box. No Problem with it being smudged or anything.
I bought a quart Sedona orange from my dealer waste of $135. didn't match even close. find a good painter and have him do it. or buy from HD. but the inner fairing is nice painted!
Just had my 09 inner fairing done in Pewter Pearl last week. $180 for a quart and 8oz can of reducer (activator?). My painter said it can't be matched and only available though the dealer and they would pay the same price as me - go figure. The paint matched perfectly and cost $125 for them to spray it, still cheaper than buying a factory painted one.
Only problem is I now have over 3/4 of a quart left which equates to about $40 worth of paint actually used!
