I have never trailered my bike yet. I still feel my health is good enough for me to ride.

It depends on the weather and if the OL is going. I left E. Tennesse one year in the snow, going to Daytona. The NC mountains were "intresting" to say the least! On top of that, it rained all the way home. I bought a trailer soon as I got home! Call me a whimp or whatever, but riding in snow and rain ain't my idea of fun!

I trailer my bike everywhere I go, just to have it with me, never know when I might want to ride it.

Have a Sporty 48. Sold my Softail to help the kids with college. Wanna go to Sturgis from Florida (2000+ miles) I don't have much choice but to trailer or haul in my truck bed. I'd rather do that than stay home or not enjoy what is supposed to be enjoyable. I dont think anybody rides because theyre into self abuse id love to have another Heritage or maybe a Road Glide to make long road trips but not in my immediate future- so for now I'll tow if over my personal threshold. Yeah-Yeah I know to all the tough guys but I'll trade you for your Softail or Tourer if you'll ride the 48 to Sturgis. At the end of the day who really gives a shxt what I do anyway?

Now dont call us crazy or liars if we have a true passion for two wheels and weather/distance doesnt stop us. Ive ridden 800miles in a day and ive ridden entire days over 400mi without a break in the rain, still better than a day without riding in my opinion. As far as "unsafe conditions", i think your skill and preparedness as a rider determines the safety of any given situation. Cold, windy, and rainy does not dictate unsafe in my opinion. If you can tow your trailer through it, i can ride through it.

I'll stand by crazy, LOL. I took no insult, and I've done my share of riding in rain and nastiness. I guess I did the same thing overstating the point I was trying to make. It drives me nuts when people try to call people less of a biker because they aren't comfortable riding a long distance, or because weather is a concern. I turned around and called people who makes their own decisions liars, and I apologize. Crazy is ok in my book, many people think I'm crazy just for climbing on a bike, and some bikers call me crazy for the conditions I'm willing to ride in so I shouldn't do the same.

Can't believe I read this whole thing!
Seems like people are either hard asses, or don't give a ****.
I'm with the latter.
