Default SG with saddlebag guards

I decided to install saddlebag guards on my new SG in case it should fall over hard enough to harm the bags, so I found a set from an '07 RK with supports on Ebay for $100 and installed them today. Pardon the lousy photos, but this is where it stood before and after, one hour apart. Personally, I don't think the guards detract from the bike's looks at all, or if so very little. I thought some of you might be contemplating this move and might like to see the difference.

Looks good![sm=bling.gif]

Add the passing lights and rear floorboards and it almost will look like an Electra Glide[8D]

Passing lamps, maybe, but not a short-term goal. Passenger floorboards with a solo seat? No way.

I have been thinking of adding the rear crash bars but I am going to purchase the smaller version (Comfort profile saddle bag gaurds, part# 49087-01) that's in the parts catalog. I saw a SG at the dealer with them on and they looked great. The comfort style sot of went with the line of the bike. my .02

I have been thinking about the comfort contour bag guards too. If I decide to do it I will probably have them powder coated black to hide them a bit. I like the clean lines of the Street Glide without the guards but I also like the added protection they provide.
