I've been running the Power Vision from Fuel Moto for a couple of months and couldn't be happier. I didn't want a piggy-back device like a PCV hanging off the ECM ... just seems like another source for potential problems.
The main differences between all these tuners is their capabilities. Most of the cheaper ones only address fuel, whereas with tuners like TTS and Power Vision, you can also adjust timing, spark advance and a whole bunch of other stuff I don't understand yet (but I will). Hell, I can even recalibrate my speedo with the PV!
I went with the PV because it seems more user friendly than the TTS (no need to cart a laptop on the bike for data logging), and of course, Fuel Moto's stellar customer service. The initial map provided by FM generated a little pinging under load ... a quick email was sent and Jamie provided another map that completely took care of it.
I've got a Direct-Link tuner on mine, unfortunately my tuner (Bishops Performance) is closing due to a serious illness in the family. Thoughts and prayers go out to Amy and Bill at Bishops Performance.
Had Harley SE pro on Street Glide, But now use Cobra F12000 ProAuto on Street Glide & Blackline. Install it and forget it. Change intake, exhaust, displacment, anything and do nothing. Tunes in real time constantly. Cobra F12000
I have the Power Vision with a Fuel Moto map, runs great. I like the fact that it is not a piggyback system and I can tune it myself. Also any future upgrades I can get a custom map from fuel Moto....
I've been running Thunder-Max since October 2010 with 6,000 flawless miles(i got two bikes so no comments on low miles please).
I must admit I was skeptical when I first got it and only got it because of the recommendation from my boss and his good friend Chris of Cycle Soultions racing. At the time I didnt understand how this thing worked or really what I was getting. I went only on the respect of his knowledge and experience.
This post reminds me, I have got to back up the map in it today. I have purchased a new lap top since I back it up a year and half ago.
