I like these kind of threads. My bike is black pearl and it really needs something. Will watching this one for sure. I like them all, my problem is I'm afraid I won't like it after awhile.
Kroozeabout.
If you get it pinstriped and they do "topcoat" it can be removed without harming the paint....
I like things simple and not showy or gaudy. I had my inner fairing color matched to the bike, but that's it. I even removed the chrome badges from tank. Sleek and understated for me.
That said, I think Primo's inner fairing work is genius!

Shakey
I agree with you about the simple and gaudy. In my opinion when you custom paint or stripe a motorcycle you real take away some of it's resale value because very few people have the same taste. With that said I've seen used custom painted bikes sitting at the dealership for long periods of time until the "right" person comes along and buys it. If its striping thats removeable when it comes time for trade in, then I think its ok.

You make an excellent point. There is a bad-*** Ultra at my dealer. 2009 and low miles. Batwing fairing is painted purple and green and there is a big dream-catcher painted on the front of it. I guarantee that the person that did that was not thinking about resale.
