I was thinking the same thing! It's fine though... They don't like my lights I probably don't like their tiny stock front wheel, or maybe their tour pack... It's what makes my bike mine, and your bike yours... Cheers!
I agree with you 100%....
With that being said, I am 50 - 50 on them. YOu pay for it, it is what you like.

I added them to not only enhance the look of the bike, but to hopefully be seen from behind. I do two up riding about half the time and like the greater visibility.
I made this mod last month. Purchased a kit from XK Glow (http://www.xkglow.com/) and spent the afternoon installing it on my 12' Street Glide. Looks great and increases visibility during night rides. If you are on the fence, purchase one of the lower priced kits that is expandable to start.
Six posts and no negatives yet. Get ready. They're coming..
17 and none now. Most guys don't like them. I don't have them yet but I think they really draw attention to your bike, especially at a bike night or beer tent. I got to get some
Not a fan although I do see how they could increase visibility from the side if you run with them (which apparently isn't legal if they are red or blue). To be honest, I don't see them on ANY bikes around here. (When people talk about LED lights around here, they mean headlights and tail lights.) I wonder if their popularity is regional? Or maybe, as a previous poster suggested they are for barhopping and bike nights, where I don't spend any time.
Taillight and rear turn signals led bulbs..
Left front standard so i didn't need the conversion for blinking.
It pulls enough amps to flash..
very happy with the set up
Plus I installed 2 white ones facing FWD on the front fender (small ones as 'running lights")
Give me that "triangle" of light, I didn't want the huge fog light style
