I had this problem when I change my grips for some reason the break lever wasnt making contact with the switch? My break light was on all the time & my cruise wouldn't work
I took a thin piece of metal bent it to a V shape applied 5 minute epoxy & attached it to the lever at the point where it makes contact with the switch
After this mod. - when the lever was released it would make contact with the switch & everything functioned as it should - Tom Tom
I took the wires off at the roll off switch today and tried the diagnostic check again. Once the wires were removed the light would turn green until I let go of the set switch. After that nothing would turn the light green unless I started the process over again. I know there is alot of knowledge on this site. I have searched and tried everything I can find on this site to try.
Does anyone know how I can test the switch to see if it is bad? Or any other diagnostic checks I can do to narrow anyhting down?
Short story is...ran the diag, got the 112 code, ended up just pulling the forward wire down on the throttle cable dealy by the tank. All fixed! So it won't shut off with the throttle now, is that deal on the cable line just a magnet that senses the cable move? Are most 07's running this way? Wonder if that is why they discontinued the CC on this model? Thanks again for this forum, even with a warranty, saved me 50 bucks and the hastle of the dealer running in circles.
