Default Input needed for build in progress

So I'm almost done with tearing down my flht for paint. It's getting painted HOK kandy green with ghost flames. Motor is getting painted black, front wheel is a southern mc contrast cut 21. My dilemma started when I got to rockers, then rest of covers lumped in. They are polished alum, I am trying to have minimal shine. Does anyone have a good method of giving a good brushed look? Feel with the wheel having the machined part I need to carry a bit of bare alum look through rest now. Any input is appreciated.

The Scotch Brite pad route is labor intensive, takes a long time and will not maintain a uniform finish for very long. The aluminum is just to porous and will continue to oxidize over time. Have the covers powder coated to provide the brushed aluminum finish you want. Do it right and do it once.
