Exactly what Max said is the way to go. HD and tons of others there to browse there. If you have a Garmin, after you download it, you will find these under the EXTRA section on your GPS.
There are a lot of different POI's here, hotels, BBQ, gas, I put thousands of POI's on my GPS from this site. My GPS had the space so I downloaed all kinds of things, I also downloaded any type of bike shop (Ducati, BMW) I figure if I broke down any bike shop would be better than a service station or if I just needed some gear.
GOOD thread for me , but i have a few more questions in mind.going to buy one of them , 660 or the 665.700 to 800 $$,this is a substantial investment for me.i like the fact that if i get the 660 i can download the Harley dealers poi, thats on the must list..i already have xm radio , but like the 665 for its satellite weather maps .but not going to dish out an extra 200$ bucks just for the weather map...can anyone tel me the differentces between the two????different features???does the 660 have the back track feature or any other differentces?...i price the 660 and the 665 and the 665 Harley version, sure HD give a few extras like dust cover for the mount and some give a weather cover..those i would have to buy separate if i got the 660...just trying to justify the extra 200$thanks , rickydog....
GPS Functions will be identical. The extras are whatcost...Satalite radio, weather, and insome, an MP3 player.
If you do not need the extras, go with the lower priced one. Everything else is the same. Do a search On-line and you should be able to find the unit for a lower cost.
The HD unit has HD logo, splash screen, and the dealer poi....ALL of which can be done on your own. Also, on the HD unit, you DO NOT get a car mount...Buy the regular Garmin Unit, and you get Bike AND car mounts.
Thanks for that link. For European riders it looks ideal, even has a TomTom file. Unfortunately the instructions are non-existent and I can't make the darned POIs work, even though I can see the file on my gps unit.
The app on my iPhone is called MotoShopHD. It costs $2.99 but wherever the phone is, it will tell you the location of surrounding shops with addy and phone number. Also allows you to use custom searches. Very useful.
Can't find the app under "search". Something I missed?

MP3 player in both units. XM is the only difference.
The HD unit DOES come with both bike AND car mounts. I have one.
