I use 2" Hog ties on the handle bars of my FLHX, then use 1" on the arm of the passenger foot peg, pulling all 4 straps forward and down. Done this for many, many trips to TN and FL from MI. Will be doing it again in 2 weeks for Bike week with mine and buddies FLHX in my Haulmark Low Hauler. I use Pingle chocks. Zero issues.

DON'T do as my dumb *** BIL and think that Condor is going to hold your bike upright in a trailer without straps.

I have the Harley Tie-down brackets on my 2011 FLHTK and they are great!

Two straps up front and then one each side rear, front of the bag, on the rear guard.

You could probably just tie the front wheel in the condor and it would ride fine. But, I wouldn't do it! I built a condor type chock. I use two soft ties on the front down tubes pulled forward (V-nose trailer). By the way, some of the advice you got here won't work on a Ultra with lower fairings. I don't compress the shocks very much. Just snug it up into the condor. Never tried the wood block, but it sounds like a good idea, although I pull mine forward into the chock more so than down. For the rear I use the straps that the factory uses to ship them. Strap from rear floorboard mount to eye bolt next to outer wall. Had the trailer up on one wheel (single axle) one time, bike didn't move at all. Never have had a problem hauling the bike this way.

I have the Kuryakyn tear drop tie-down brackets that bolt on each side of the forks, under the triple tree. They work great. One strap on each side, and same for the rear, with the straps attached to either the saddlebag guards or the passenger floorboard brackets. The rear straps don't have to be tightened much, it's just to avoid lateral bounce.
By the way, you know how to set the alarm in transport mode, right?

I never have done that. I usually put one remote in a saddlebag then lock both bags. Keep the other remote on my key ring.. No problems with doing it that way for me.

Trailer safe

The front strap around lower triple tree, rear soft hooks around rear foot board mounts. i also use a velcro strap around front wheel and the upright of the wheel chock. as far as the alarm goes i leave the fob with the bike till i stop and then i take the fob with me.
