OK...just got a 2007 FLHTCU that did not have any com cords or headsets with it when purchased. I bought a NIB headset on Ebay (77147-98A), mounted in in my helmet and checked it out...CB-works...Intercom VOX-works...Radio...hmmm?
The radio plays through the fairing speaker without issue but no audio comes through the headset. What am I missing, guys? Does the radio NOT play in the headset? That doesn't sound right as the Owners Manual talks about adjusting audio volume.
Is there a setting that I have missed somewhere? I feel sooo stupid having to ask...but hey! It's a new-to-me bike!!
Probably a silly question, but do you have the speaker switch on the faring set to the middle or lower position? In the middle it plays thru both the faring speakers and headset, and in the down position through the headset only.
I had no idea that it was a three position switch...my old EG Classic didn't have that switch. Went out to the garage, kicked the power on and the silly thing played through my headset. Boy, do I feel dumb. Thanks for the guidance...
I think I will crawl back into my idiot hole now...
So, what do you recommend when the switch seems to work fine in middle and with the light on but in the forward position it seems to be garbled at times in the headset or just on the left ear spkr or no sound at all?
