Compact heavy breather

I have the standard heavy breather on my 09 streetglide. I want to get some vented lowers and I know they won't fit unless I get the compact model. Does anybody know for sure if the only difference is the filter size? I can order the compact filter by itself and I hope that will solve my problem.

Yes you can get the filter, same size

You can pickup the shorter K&N filter for it from AutoZone. That's what I did when I added lowers to my SG.
