Default RKC for Everyday Use?

Hi big bike guys. I currently own an 07 883R Sporty and use it for everything. PGR rides, commuting 2 hours a day into Seattle, and recreational riding. Had considered getting a Dyna, but the wife said she likes the RKC and even picked the color. Granted it will be the bike of choice when she wants to go for a ride, but is it OK for everyday use, i.e. freeway and some around town? Really don't do any touring. Maybe a Sturgis trip in a couple years. Thanks for the insight. Dave

Seems like the Road King is perfectly suited for your riding style. The windshield can be used for commuting, or removed for around town.

I like my Street Glide for both also. The faring is permanent, but the windshield is low enough when I'm just riding around town. It's not GREAT for touring, but better than my old Fat Boy.

I think you'll be pleased with the Road King.

The only problem with the RKC is that once you're on it, you never want to get off. It works perfectly for every day use.

And this is what you could do to your Road King if you just went crazy and put all that mess on it!

Its a fine bike, since you have asked. I love mine.

I have a Sporty and a RKC, the RKC gets the pick whenever I ride. I like the Sporty but the Road King does it all.

I don't think it matters if you get a RKC (Road King Custom) or a RKC (Road King Classic), you will love either bike.

My Classic is 5 1/2 months old and now has just under 10,000 miles on it. I use it as a daily commuter when the weather cooperates.
