I am new to the forum, I have a 07 Road King and it has the painted or decal graphics on the tank, has anybody ever tried to just sand off the graphics? my first choice would be to just get the graphics off and then I could either do some airbrushing or just buy a badge instead of reapainting the whole bike, hopefully someone has allready done this,
First off ... Welcome To The Forum From Michigan .... Yes there are articles ( threads ) on removing the decal under the clear coat, BUT, it is a tedious chore and the odds of a good outcome are very low. Get familiar with the site, then do a "search" on the subject. Good Luck Brother.
Id say short of finding a new decal or emblem that would cover the original, your stuck with it. Unless you have the tank stripped and re-done.
Luckily for me, my Police Road King, comes with a blank tank, And I can change my script as often as I please.
