I have a new Neotec sitting at home that arrived this week. Havent had a chance yet to ride with it but I am very happy with the fit and weight of the helmet. I have thinner cheek pads coming from Shoei to replace the stock pads.
Planning to purchase a Scala Rider setup and am wondering about how you get a boom mike up inside these modulars or FF helmets. The Neotec is pretty snug fit in front of the chin for me.
Don't know about the Scala but the Sena SMH10 has an optional boom mic kit available that works great in my C3.
How is the quality on the Sena, the cardo speakers don't seem to be so good, (just got the G4) yesterday, I think I'm going to return it
Although I haven't compared them to other systems they're loud enough and the sound quality is decent. The bass response with helmet speakers will never be as good as you get wearing earbuds but they sure are a lot more comfortable.
I have had the syncrotech and now I have the multitec. I liked the syncro but love the multitec, been in 25* w/o windchill and up to 117* in the Az desert, and everything was great (along with hydration packs and jacket). Depending on the w/s you have dictates how fast you can go with the chin up, on the RG I can doo 45 all day long, 65-70 it starts pulling on your neck but is a great air scoop to cool the noggin.
My experience is that HJC's were too heavy and fit a variety of heads. Arai and Nolans fit those with the melon shaped heads (no offense to those) and the Shoei is more the tall pumpkin style head (me).
I have seen the Schuberth and aside from the price I didnt like the style of it, but a built in sunvisor is off the hook, you dont need sunglasses and you can run a clear visor so night and day riding means you can carry less gear.
I am just finding out about this new Shoei here now on the forum, I will have to see one up close, if everything is true to form, Im sure the Neotec is a fantastic helmet maybe even worth the dough. Im sure somewhere you can find a sale that will come along.

I have a Harley with exhaust, and to hold a good conversation on the mobile or hear music I have to turn the vol. up 3/4 to full at with point I can hear very will but the speaker start to have a night pitch screach to them when the person speaks or music is played, I'm headed out on a 4 hour trip now and if still not happy I will be returning them to try another brand with better speakers, for that's my only complaint everything else is great, but what's the point if I can't hear...lol
Ordered mine today, they said I should have it by this weekend. Just intime for Daytona. It's supposed to be rainy on the trip down, so it will get a good break in.
