Hello folks, first time posting here. My bike's tires are about due for replacement and I wanted to see what tires Yall prefer. I have an '03 flhtpi, I've tried Conti-tour tires this last time and really liked them. Any opinions on other brand tires would be great.
Thanks
Welcome to the forum from WanaRyd in SC - make sure to introduce yourself in the new members area. We put Metz and Avons on our customer's bikes and have had great return with them. Post some pics on your Road King when you get a chance!

I got a new 18" front wheel for my EG Classic (was stock 17") so I'm seeking the same information for when the stock back tire wears out. I did a thread search for the major tire mfg, i.e. Dunlop Elite 3, Michelin Commander, Metzler 880, etc. That will get you a lot of feedback. I'm interested in the new Pirelli Night Dragon because they have a 140/70B18 that carries a higher load rating (71-ish I think) than my current stock Dunlop 130/70B18 (63). Will be looking for opinions on those.
Sad that all are blackwalls, because I like the thin whitewall on the stock H-D Dunlops. Good luck w/your search.
In 46 years of riding I think it safe to say that most if not all of my bikes had OEM Dunlop tires. Until now I've never been very impress with Dunlop mileage and they almost always had cupping issues. I was lucky to get 6k to 8k miles out a rear tire. Both front and rear OEM Dunlop tires that came on my '09 Ultra Classic had almost 17k miles on them when I replaced them. Both front and rear had about 3/32 tread left. Needless to say, I replaced them with another set of OEM Dunlop tires.
