All of those rides sound great to me. I would also like to spend more time around the Sturgis area, Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, Cody, northern Idaho, western Montana, southern Utah and Arizona.
Already did it in 2000. Started in Charlotte, NC and went through Virginia, W. Virginia, Ky., Ohio, Tn, Idaho, S. Dakota (Sturgis), N. Dakota, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons and then back through Nebraska, Kansas and others. What a great time with the wifey. Two weeks and 5400 miles on a 2000 Ultra Classic.
Sounds like a great ride Jeff.My Sturgis loop this last year started in Portland, OR. We headed east out the Gorge, the went slightly north into WA. Crossed the Snake river into ID and then continued east across ID and into MT over Lolo Pass. Stayed the first night in Missoula. Next morning we headed east on 90 across MT and eventually turned south to head for Yellowstone via The Beartooth Hwy. Spent the next night in some tiny town between Cooke City and the north entrance to the park. Day 3 started by riding all over Yellowstone, the south through Teton Park and into Jackson. Gotta stop for a quick drink at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. From there we headed south to Green River to meet the rest of the crew and get some sleep. Day 4 was Green River to Sturgis. 3 days riding around Sturgis was not enough.
The trip home took us from Sturgis to Cody for the first night. Cody, back through Yellowstone, and slept the next night in Ontario, OR. A quick half day ride home from there.
3 months to wander where ever I want in the States. All the back roads and podunk towns I can find. I hope to take that ride before they throw dirt on me.
Take Route 66 (Again!) across, head up towards washington state and up to Alaska. Back down the coast of California to the southwest. then head up towards Colorado from New Mexico. Cross through some of the western states toward the northern through the Upper pennisula of Michigan, then home.

Well I would start in California, and ride north to Washington. Then east into Idaho and work my way down into Arizona, and just kind of zig zag north to south as I made my way east to Maine. I would double back and go into Canada travel west to Vancouver and scoot down to California towards home.
