I don't think it will fit without some major modifying. I did some measuring on mine before I stripped it all down for paint and I couldnt make 8" fit width or length.
I don't have the specs in front of me. Look up dimensions of the ARC mini 125.2 amp & see if it's close to yours. That's what I have in mine.
The Arc 125.2 is 4.8"W x 1.7"H x 8.25"L. My Elf E2125X, which is 5.4"W x 1.8"H x 8.57"L, fits snuggly inside the fairing with little room to spare, and I would bet the OP's proposed amp would hit the outer fairing. I would worry about the longitudinal measurement, either 7.87 or 8.0" depending on how it is oriented.
Here is a photo of mine with the short measurement (5.4") oriented longitudinally, and you can see how far it sticks out. I might be able to shove it in (toward the rear) a bit more, but I can't say how much. One owner reported that the JL Audio XD400/4 (Post #5) fits, and it's 8.52" x 2.05" x 7.09", but I don't know how.
It would be nice if someone with the means and know-how to do it would provide some maximum dimensions for amps that must fit atop the head unit.
