I'm sure that the height will be fine, two inches will work. 9" will be tight but may work if you can make that the width (from sids to side). The depth (front to rear) should be closer to 6" ideally. I tried an amp that was 7 3/4" and the fairing hit the amp when I tried to put it back on.

I think Tckitt13 is giving good advice. My Elf amp is 5.4"W x 1.8"H x 7.35"L and it's a tight fit inside the fairing on top the head unit. I also think the 9" would fit if positioned left and right, but the 7" dimension is questionable given the 1.75" height. I would fabricate a cardboard box of that size and try it. Someone stuffed a slightly larger amp inside his fairing with some minor mods, but I don't recall the brand or dimensions. I'll try to find that info and post later.
