Just did the monotubes a week or so ago. Best price I found from a dealer was Dennis Kirk (around 300/free shipping).
Like someone else mentioned, about 5 oz. of fork oil per side for lubrication only.
Made a huge difference on my scoot.
right now, I'm unsure if I want to go this route, as I want the same ride height as I have now, and I am not sure if that means the lowered version or not. Also, I'm reading about C clips determining height and ride quality. Progressive says use 3 of them...some say 2...some say 2 means bike sits lower....what a headache!
I may just stay stock, as I have ZERO problems with the way she handles right now.
The monotubes are available in the non lowered version too. That's what I have on my bike as I didn't want to lower it and have no plan on anything other than an 18" front rim.
I just bought a set of lowered mono's from American Classic on eBay. I also have a set of brand new (NIB) 940's up on eBay right now. Bought them and decided that I wanted to go another direction. Buy it now price is $475. http://www.ebay.com/itm/280834870701#ht_537wt_1378
Anyone else have any experience with 2 or 3 C clips? I don't want the height to change.

The monotube kit I used was the 31-2500 and honestly I don't recall "C" clips, but if it had any I installed all as directed as I didn't want a lowered front end.
