I think you can check the codes yourself and clear them. Then come back and check for them again after you take it for a ride. The instructions for checking, clearing and identifying what the codes mean are listed in the Forum. Do a search from the main "forum" title bar for HD Diagnostics. I think the Dealer was trying to scare you into a sale for something you really don't need. Ride safe and often.
You cannot clear the 02 sensor codes, they will come back the next time you start the bike. It's the nature of the beast with the PCV.
Although DynoJet probably could have done a little better engineering on this issue, it's nothing to be concerned with - it's normal with the PCV.
I would think DynoJet could have engineered the software to prevent the codes, but then again, as long as you know they're to be expected it's not really a big deal. The codes do not create any other issue that I'm aware of.

??? must be a combination of the year/model and PCV> I can check and clear my codes on my spedo > but I am running a PCV retro from FM on my 08 RG and it did not come with any known manufacture error codes. Agree that it is no big deal - just ride it and enjoy.

Do '08s have factory 02 sensors? If not, then this issue would not be present on your bike.
As for clearing the DTCs, Let me rephrase what I previously wrote for the sake of clarification. You can clear the 02 sensor codes, but they will reset as soon as the bike is run.
As long as the check engine light doesn't stay on (which it doesn't) I can live with the codes. The bike is running better than it did before the sensors were disconnected, and its also running cooler, so the PCV is doing its job now. I just wanted to make sure this was normal...lord knows what I did with the original instructions for the thing so I appreciate the help!
