I've read for a while that 07 and back cruise has been discontinued. Was in the local HD store for something the other day and picked up a 2012 accessories cataloge and noticed that they still have some cruise kits listed.
Does that mean you can still get some kits? I've had the understanding that this was not the case, but if so why are they still listed in the 2012 cataloge?? They still list the kit for an 04-06 flht/x/c.... and my understanding was that I could use this kit on an 07 with differant connectors, would love to add cruise to my bike but can't swing the $800 from cruisemount.
Any info is appreciated

Reason: type-o
My brother has an 06 EGC and the cruise for it has been discontinued from harley. We have looked all over the United States from dealers everywhere and even some salvage yards and no luck. One dealer in Chicago told me that a very smart mechanic could install a kit off a newer model but it would be expensive. GOOD LUCK!!!
I have an 06 w/o cruise and I recall reading a thread that listed all of the part numbers for the entire cruise "kit". You can still do it that way from the dealer, but it's very expensive.
I spent 10 bucks on a cramp buster for the throttle and called it a day. I did a 4,000 mile ride over the summer (in 8 days) and between that and the throttle lock, I really didn't miss it.

Go to HD's website, try the p/n's for the '07 and older cruise kits and see what you get in reply to the inquiry.
Unless HD has re-released these, you won't get an acceptable response.
However, if they are available, start another thread and announce that here; plenty of guys looking for cruise for '07 and older bikes.
My mechanic peiced one together for me. Cost me $550. He just went to the parts book and made a list of parts and said ,,"take this to the parts person and have him order this for you" (was about 10 items and if you search for it I posted the parts list some time ago)
Took him about 30 min to install and workes great! Mine is an 04 Electra

Your right not listed online, guess they were to lazy to take them out of the accessories cataloge this year.
Been looking all day at piecing together a kit, got all the part #'s, looks like since challenger did this the module has gone to almost $400 by its self and you gotta buy the stepper cable seperate (which I'm assuming is the cable that goes to the throttle body). Gonna have to buy the lower switch housing and the set/res button and wire it into the molex connector....
Gonna have $600-$650 in the pieces. Making cruisemount's complete kit look alot better. Just hate spendin that kinda $$$ on cruise.... this sux
