Default My Work in Progress, Please send DONATIONS!!

LOL, well I been posting pics here and there but really never started a thread about my bike. So here it is. Ive had it a couple months now. 2009 Streetglide, 1120 miles when I bought it. Only upgrades (if you want to call them that) were Ultra Classic rear floorboards, windshield and seat and some kinda slip-ons. Ive never liked any handlebars that HD put on factory and these were no different. Traded them out of for some PYO 10" Monkey Bagger bars. Tossed the factory mirrors and installed Arlen Ness Rad II (although only one is on right now due to the left one stripping out and getting warrantied). Plugged the factory holes with plugs from Home Depot.

The seat was changed out with a C&C Leather Sport Tour w/backrest. The UC seat is real comfy but looked like damnit. Just got the C&C seat in last night and havent rode the first mile on it. Initial comments are its HARD and very low. Sat me way back too, might have to pull bars back a hair. The wifes section is kinda short, her *** hangs off some but keep in mind the only other seat she has sat on back there is the UC seat so shes ruined. I also have a sissy bar but havent got the mount for it yet. Hope between the backrest and the sissybar she has some room left.

Other mods are moved the inspection sticker plate from rear to under the lower bolt that holds on crash bars. Also made my own homemade curved rear plate holder out of the stock stuff and replaced the stupid reflector bolts with SS stuff from Home Depot. Cut the factory UC windshield down some to get rid of the geezer glide look also. Still want to get a Klockwerks or LRS but this will do for now. Found a piece of chrome plated brass tubing for a sink riser at HD also that slipped over the shift rod (thanks to a forum member for turning me on to that), really helped the looks of that ugly thing. Really easy to do, bought the 20" one, marked it and cut it. Took shift linkage off shifter, slipped it on and back together.

Ahh, the headlight. DDM 35W HID lights went in, still working on getting them adjusted. As of right now Im still not too impressed with them, but not giving up just yet. Also installed the HD headlight trim......what a piece of ****. Its on but not really happy with it. No gap at bottom but gaps every where else. Oh well, looks great from 10 foot. Thats it for now, , she is a little dirty from a ride yesterday. Plans include extended bags, rear fender, 21 front wheel and some black PC'd parts here and there.

Nice ride. For donations you could always stand in front of Walmart with a bell and a bucket.

Ahh, she dont care, she's as cool as a fan. She is the one that said "my *** is hanging off". I promise you Im just as immature as you are bud, believe me I was back there looking, LOL.

Another little thing I did is take the front reflectors off the forks. I new the fishing line trick to get them off but it left the adhesive. Tried to get that off with a rag and fingernail polish remover and it woulda took awhile. Here is a little trick. Use the reflector edge (there plastic) to scrape most of the adhesive off then use the polish remover to get the little thats left. Worked AWESOME!

LOL, I hear ya. I was in Paris when I was 16. My uncle was an Army Dr. in Germany and we went over to see them. They lived in Konken, Germany. That was such beautiful country. Remembered watching the crazy traffic from the top of the Arc of Triumphs......wow.

Nice lookin ride, just got a C&C seat also. Only couple hundred miles on it so far but I like the lower height. I still got questions about how it's gonna be on a long day. All I ever had was the UC couch but like you hated the "damnit" look.

Only time I ever been through Tyler, TX was last year the week before the superbowl and the roads were covered with ICE. Made for a long trip back to NC

Anyway nice scoot.
