Good to hear you were not hurt. I earned my "Crashin Sucks" patch last July, you can see the road rash on my belt buckle in my avatar. I suffered a busted ankle, not fun. But I'm back together, the bike is back together and I'm puttin the miles on her again.

Antifreeze, or diesel fuel in a lane is almost imposable to see, and you won't know it was there until it is too late.

Thanks.

I was there for about 30 minutes after it happen just looking to see what went wrong. Just can not figured it all out, oh well riding the bike to the dealer tomorrow to let thier estimater look at it and then have to wait for the bid to be done and then the insurance guy to look at it after that.

Everything that I can see that is messed up is cosmetic.

Do any of you think it is possible that they would let me keep my bike so I can ride while waiting on painted parts? I can not see the need for the bike to sit at the dealer for 4 to 6 weeks waiting on a lower fairng and a saddlebag bottom.

Nope, clear sunny day. Roads are really quite good.

Its more of a bummer because the weather is going to be in the 60's for most of the next week.

Check your tire pressure. If mine is even a little bit off, they get really squirrely in turns.

Good your OK. That is a bummer. There is a reason why it happened. I would continue try to figure what the problem was if possible leaving no stone unturned. Bikes just don't down without some reason.

Had it wash out from under me in a left turn yesterday. Made this turn countless times. I am mad at myself, just can't figure out what I did wrong or what went wrong.

At least I was uninjured and the bike can be fixed. Actually fixed the shifters and rode it home.

The most important aspect of any accident is what can be learned from the accident. The scariest thing about your ordeal is that it sounds like you are unable to determine the cause and without knowing the cause you can't learn anything from it. Something caused it and if you have no clue what that may have been - how do you prevent it from happening again?

As for the bike repairs, it's your bike and you make the calls. If you want to ride it, ride it. The dealer, or whoever is doing the repairs, cannot "kidnap" and hold your bike hostage while waiting for parts unless you let them.

Well I think I have figured it out. Went back and really looked from all angles. The road has a crown in it, most do, and as you come off that crown and in the lean I was in the crown actually took more of my lean angle away then I had realized. Along with a small lip in the joint between the different passes that were made when it was paved. Thus I believe with the loss of some of my lean angle and the suspension unloading then compressing as I was in the turn let the back bracket on the floor board touch down and unload the rear tire resulting in the bike sliding out from underneath me.

Lesson learned, just because you have riden a area several, multiple or even countless times does not mean it won't bite you in the ***.
