Default Monkeybar/ Heated grip question

My 10" PY Monkey bars are here and I have a question for anyone who put them on an Ultra Limited. Do you have to do ANY modification to the left side (for heated grips)? Someone said you have to cut 1/2 inch off the left side, is that true? I have the original HD grips and am not going to change. I need to hear from Limited owners who HAVE ACTUALLY DONE IT. Please no "it should work", I want to hear from guys who have done it. Thanks, Mark

general consensus around here, (and other places), is that heated grips aren't really worth it if you ride in colder weather. Spend your money on gerbing or hd gloves if you want your hands to stay warm. That's my .02 also, ride down into the 30's and stay toasty with the heated gear.
