Default 2013 ultra limited

I just bought this Ultra..I would like to put some 12-14" apehangers on it.
The bike has heated grips..What issues am i going to run into with heated grips??
Do i need extensions??Where is the best place to buy the bars and whatever else i may need?
Can i also change the grips??

Peace and Prayers

Any bar over 10" is going to need extensions for all controls, AFA as the heated grips cabling you might get the 12" on without extending. You can NOT change grips, you would have to buy heated grips with the grip you desire.

Best things to do is research the parts you like and get the best price and then go price beating .................... Direct Cycle and Eastern performance will beat published prices.

I put WO578 (10") on my 12' FLHTK and the bars were $210 and new bushings were $25, did it myself. No extensions needed but no room for higher for sure.

You will need bars, bushings, and cable extensions ........ your heated grip cable is a toss up depending on how high a bar you go.

Just a thought, ditch the heated grips and buy a ser of Gerbings heated gloves and get the bars you want. Heated grips are OK but the gloves keep your entire hand warm. On the Heritage or Ultra I've never gotten cold hands, even when the snow or cold rain is flying.

If you put your hands above the fairing I bet the heated grips would be useless. My money would be on reg. grips and heated gloves.

On my 12, I extended everything except the brake line for 14" bars. Rerouted that. Stayed with the stock heated grips. I did put leather wraps on them.
