Adding on to the 24 x 25 garage now with another 24 x 25 garage. One of them will be the shop/toy garage, with heat and ac! I am looking for a lift. Like somebody already said, there is a reason all shops use a lift.

I bought a Direct Lift. I already had a nascar atv jack, but my arthritis is so bad I can barely walk. I am self employed, so I don't get Government help (not that I care, just so you know). I did a top end gasket change in under 2 hours on my wife's bike. It payed for itself in one day...and I did it. If you have the money and space, and don't want to upgrade in the future; your body will thank you for it.

I have an air operated table lift with the optional wings. Did a buddys RK trans. overhaul on it and the wings came in handy for holding tools and parts plus it makes driving on and off so much easier and safter. The other plus is I use it for servicing my mowers and other yard equipment. At 70 my knees don't like bending for a period of time!

Must not have been a pitbull. Mine lifts plenty high and I can set comfortably on my stool to work on things.

Again, I would have a lift if u had the room. I don't so I bought the best jack on the market

Don't let anyone tell you a Harbor Freight table lift is anything other than.....great, and very easy on your pocketbook. I got mine for $300 (with a coupon which can be found in many magazines). The guy who convinced me to try it is a member on here and rides a bagger himself. He showed me a video clip of him riding up onto the tabletop and raising it right up. It was very stable with his bigger bike on it. I would at least check them out before buying anything.

There are many personal physical factors that might impact your decision to use a jack versus lift. For me I like the jack because it provides mobility, ease of access to the bottom of the bike (where I do my minor (versus major maintenance) and finally a way to wash my bike and wheels (I can spin the wheels while washing). It also provides an better way to access the tire valve stems when adding air.

Best

+1^ .. Yes it's made in China (like a lot of HD parts), but for the bucks... it's hard to beat...

I currently have a craftsman atv jack. Simply said, it's a pain in *** for changing oils in all three holes. Seems like it's always in the way. I realize the J&S and Pitbull are superior but for my money I'll be buying a table once the new garage is completed.
