I pretty much make it a habit to check the bike's battery connections monthly to ensure they're snug...they have a tendency to come loose (thus your post). Also, doesn't hurt to dab a little dielectric grease on them so they keep tight seal...JMO. Glad your problem was simple one & definitely post some pics w/bars when done...

I was worried because I did pull the faring over the weekend to fix my cigarette lighter. Thought I had done something to screw up my electrical system. Ah well just happy its all fixed now.
