If you select all of your songs on your computer then right click go Get Info>Options there should be a slider bar. I take mine all the way to the right to make all the songs as loud as possible.
you forgot to mention that this is in itunes. i had never seen that so i went to take a look. all that is going to do is to increase the volume by a percentage. so if you have two songs, one much louder than the other, and you increase their volume by 50%, then the one song is still going to be much louder than the other, just both will have more volume.
OK, I downloaded the MP3Gain, but it's kinda ambiguous on how to use it. I can't get quite all my ITunes songs over into it, and the ones I can get, what do you do to make the adjustments?
