I just got it last week and installed it in my garage. Easy install.....took longer to drink 2 beers than to put this in, and I love it!
Question though for others who have this on thier bike:
There are times when certain songs on my Ipod won't play very loudly. I use a new Ipod Shuffle with the touch-screen, and never had a problem with it when it was clipped to my handlbar and plugged into the radio face. It's only a few songs I've noticed it on, but wtf?
It is also not the Harley kit, but the HDPlus kit from Eastern Performance that everyone else seems to be using (by the way, they did not make me happy buying this from them! That is another story though...).
I have the same problem with the boom audio interphase. Pissed me off at first but oh well it's so nice to be able to work the iPod with your finger tips.

If your iPod has it, turn off soundcheck....... and download mp3gain (it's free). Run your tunes through mp3gain to equalize the levels, then dump them on the iPod. It will set the volume levels very close to each other by using a db offset. I use 96db.
It will however mean starting over on your playlists. But for me that was a non-issue.... I have ONE playlist and it's 29 hours long. Less for me to mess with while riding and dodging soccer Moms, on cellphones, in SUV's.

which ipod interface did you go with? i just saw that there is one called hdpdplus. i am about to tear the fairing off and install an amp and speakers and thought about the ipod option several times.
Just bought the HDPlus kit from Ironcross today and the Titan II's and the Biketronics amp today. Hopefully by next weekend I will be able to give you an update on the performance. Would really like to have the XM module but I am having a hard time justify the cost from Harley. Even at a discounted price at $430 it is a little steep. I already am paying Sirius for 5 other units so it really comes down to the cost at some point is too high.
Yeah I have a freind that says he'd rather go with XM than the Ipod, but to me there is no contest. Never been much into sattalite radio either, though.
Thanks for the tips Shooter, that should do the trick! I only have one set playlist...something I can play at the bar without offending everyone there, lol......
Great looking bike by the way....love the color!
I should have bought mine from Iron Cross. Know a lot of guys that bought from them without a problem. Eastern is right down the street from me so it was easier, but they played a f'n game with me and jacked up the price at the last second. I spend too much money on this bike to have them try and scam me for $50 like I am an idiot. I was VERY dissapointed in them with this. Probably won't go back there. Hope it was worth the $50.
