After upgrading cam plate and putting in new andrews 54n cam porting heads valves-springs-milled heads 60 i thought i had a little bit too much valve train noise and after about 200 miles it kept getting louder and i knew the sound was louder on left side (primary)
well tonight after about ten miles i brought it in and video it and noticed it was shaking hard
then i shut it off and checked all fluids and went to start it back and i hear a louder than normal clank on left side and it wouldn sart i tried like five more times and it started once but sounds louder than normal on the left hand side
Could be the starter clutch. When you say it wouldn't start...was the starter turning the motor over and the motor was not firing? Do you notice anything different sounding when you hit the starter button?
If you installed your own cams, and if you used adjustable pushrods, do you think you have the pushrods adjusted properly? Might not hurt to pop off the rod covers and check for lash. If the pushrods are ok, and you are sure it's coming from the left side, then you are going to need to pull that primary off and take a look.

i replaced the starter clutch a couple months ago
it is starting or turning the motor over fine it just wwont fire up
What about the pushrods....did you install your cams with adjustables? Maybe worth a look to check and see about excess lash before you take off the primary cover. It could be that your valve timing is not what it should be. And if you used the stock pushrods, do those cams have the same base circle diameter as the stock cams? Just thinking out loud.
